Recount Writing - Taking Flight

WALT: Plan and write a recount based on “taking flight” animation.

I will be successful when I have:

• Planned my ideas to help me organise my writing.

• Structured my writing with

- orientation (who, what, where, when, why, how)

- sequenced ideas

- conclusion

• Written in first person.
• Given interesting detail
• Written a closing statement to sum up all my ideas

ORIENTATION Who: Me & my papa What: Going on an Adventure When: In the morning Where: Going down the street Why: Papa would do this with his dad.	Sequence of Events: Getting dropped off Jumping in the wagon Going on adventure - falling off the waterfall.	Conclusion: Had a good day with my papa.  Felt good.
Descriptive words: Sad and upset Monkeys  screaming. Birds were singing Water was rushing Fell down the waterfall. Aliens zapping everything	Connectives (time words) Firstly After that Then Finally	“Hands and feet inside the trolley at all times”.

My Adventure

I was so angry when my Father drop me at  Papa’s  House. He was always dropping me off .  He said goodbye and was gone!  That morning I found a photo of Dad and papa when they we’re young. “Hands and feet inside the trolley at all times” Papa told me.I was excited to go on a Adventures.

First  We went through the noisy Forest. Monkey’s were screaming.

Then we went down  a steep waterfall. The water Was running quickly.

After that we parked up at the park me and papa and had some lunch.

That's where he told me about the alien Zapping everything.

That was a cool story It was getting late so we made our home.

It was a fun day today.
